Where do I start if I want a website for my business?
To get your business online, you need four things:
- a web address (a domain name, e.g., mybusiness.com.au)
- a website (a group of linked web pages)
- a web host (a secure, high-speed server to store your website files, so that others can view your site on the Web)
- a content management system for maintaining the content of your site
SiteSuite provides all four services (domain name registration, website design and development, website hosting, content management systems), as well as ongoing support.
Domain names
Ideally, your domain name should be easy to remember and spell, clearly state what you do and protect your brand or company name. If you have already registered a domain name, there is no need to change it; we can host your site, using the domain name of your choice. You can also have more than one domain name (e.g., mybusiness.com, mybusiness.com.au). SiteSuite can also provide e-mail accounts on your domain name so that you have professional addresses (e.g., service@mybusiness.com).

How do I prepare a website design brief?
You don't need to write a formal document. SiteSuite's website design experience and large client base means that we can make suggestions and show you reference sites to help you put your needs into words. However, the more you can tell us about your business, your audience, your goals, your preferences and what you need from your website, the better we can develop a solution. You may find it helpful to write down your requirements before meeting with your website designer. Any reference material and information you can give your website designer during the briefing process will help us understand your needs and preferences. If possible, give your designer your business logo, any images and text you have already prepared and a map of your web pages.
Before you brief your website designer, you may want to note the web addresses of any sites you like and your competitors' sites. SiteSuite will create a design specifically for your business, but reference sites will help us understand your industry, audience, competitors and personal preferences.

How much does website design cost?
In our experience, we find that we need to discuss the website functionality and your website design requirements in some detail to provide an accurate quote. SiteSuite's website design clients ranges from small, one-person businesses to large corporations and we provide custom solutions, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. There is no obligation to buy in this initial consultation process. Please call 1300 130 875 to arrange a free consultation and quote.
