- Research and Development
In addition to regularly upgrading our systems to improve the website products and services we provide, SiteSuite undertakes research and development projects.
Current Project
Development of User-Definable Content Delivery Architecture
In 2004, SiteSuite commenced work on a four-year project for the research and development of a new Content Management System, which we are developing from the ground up. The new system will feature leading-edge functionality not yet available in the market. Whilst there are a number of applications that can provide aspects of this functionality off-line, there is no model available for an online or distributed system.
As the project involves the exploration and development of new and previously untested technology, our R & D schedule includes the development of prototypes; testing within focus, user and production groups; documentation; training and the provisioning of hardware infrastructure. The goal for the project and its products is 100% compliance with W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) standards. All outputs from the system will adhere exclusively to XHMTL 1.0 and CSS2 standards (mark-up and style-sheet languages for web publishing).
SiteSuite currently supplies software applications on demand, over the Internet. This Application Service Provider model, whereby we host applications on our servers, gives small to medium-sized businesses inexpensive access to specialised software that only large companies could afford in the past. The final stage of our research and development project will be the release of an enterprise version of SiteSuite's new Content Management System. The enterprise product will enable organisations wishing to manage and host their own applications to purchase and install a pre-packaged system. To implement this new service model, we will conduct tests on a variety of supported systems and databases.
SiteSuite will be running Beta trials of the software during 2007. If you are interested in exploring cutting-edge developments in this area, please contact us.
SiteSuite also undertakes contract development work on behalf of selected clients. If you have a development in mind and you do not have the resources or expertise to develop your ideas, we may be able to assist you. If your project involves relevant research and development activities, you may be eligible for the Australian Government’s 125% R & D taxation concession. We can assist you in claiming these concessions, if you are eligible.
